Storage Characteristics of NiCd Batteries
Generally speaking the following temperatures need to be taken into consideration:

Application Type
Storage
In Discharge
In charge
Standard application
-20°C / +45°C
-20°C / +65°C
0°C / +45°C
Power Application
-20°C / +45°C
-20°C / +65°C
0°C / +45°C
Temperature application
-20°C / +45°C
-20°C / +70°C
-20°C / +70°C

The self-discharge of UNIROSS Ni-Cd batteries accelerates as the temperature increases. However, UNIROSS batteries have minimal deterioration in battery performance even after long-term storage. Moreover, the decreased capacity through self-discharge during storage can easily be recovered to the normal level by recharging the battery for several cycles.

Cycle Life Characteristics
The cycle life of Ni-Cd batteries varies with the charge and discharge conditions, the ambient temperature and other use conditions. According to the IEC charge and discharge specifications, over 500 charge and discharge cycles are possible. The actual cycle life will vary according to the charge format used, such as for rapid charge, and is also determined by the actual application.

Safety Characteristics
If pressure inside the battery rises as a result of improper use, such as overcharge, short-circuit, or reverse charge, as reseal safety vent will open to release the gas and decrease the internal pressure, thus prevent the battery from exploding.
